The Oregon Ducks took care of business this week in Big Ten play. That meant watching Week 9 of the college football season unfold at home. Saturday was a good day for the Ducks after the final whistle was blown.
The Texas Longhorns lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 30-15 at Texas Memorial Stadium. That meant another team would have the opportunity to take the top position in the LBM Coaches and AP Top 25 polls heading into the final week of games in October.
This season has led to a bevy of new teams entering the polls and staying. The Indiana Hoosiers have been an amazing story, starting 7-0 for the first time since 1967. The service academies are also both ranked. It is the first time that the Army Black Knights and Navy Midshipmen have been in both polls at the same time in 64 years. Both teams are undefeated and moon-pounding their opponents, just like the Hoosiers.
Army is on a bye Week 9, while Navy has a showdown at home against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
