This weekend, ESPN’s iconic College GameDay show was on the scene in State College ahead of a big-time matchup between Penn State and Ohio State. In Week 11, the GameDay crew is set to check out another rivalry matchup between blue bloods.
On Saturday morning, ESPN announced that College GameDay is heading back to Baton Rouge in Week 11 for a matchup between LSU and Alabama. The game doesn’t have quite as much luster as it has in recent years as both squads enter with two losses on the season, but it serves as a must-win and de facto College Football Playoff elimination game for both teams.
Alabama won this game last year as Jayden Daniels exited the game in the second half with an injury, but in 2022, the Tigers upset the Crimson Tide at Death Valley in overtime en route to an SEC West title in what remains the marquee win of the Brian Kelly era.
This will be LSU’s 14th time hosting GameDay, the fourth-most of any program.
