On Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (1-7) will take on the Marshall Thundering Herd (5-3).
The Thundering Herd knocked off the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks 28-23 in their last game. The Golden Eagles are coming off of a 32-15 loss to the James Madison Dukes. In that matchup with the Warhawks, Braylon Braxton had 166 yards on 10-of-19 passing (52.6%) for the Herd, with one touchdown and no interceptions. He also carried the ball 12 times for 25 yards. Jordan Houston carried the ball nine times for 80 yards (8.9 yards per carry). He also had two receptions for 29 yards. Charles Montgomery led the receiving charge against the Warhawks, catching four passes for 68 yards. Ethan Crawford recorded 178 passing yards while going 11-for-34 with no touchdowns and one interception for the Golden Eagles against the Dukes. Kenyon Clay put together an eight-carry, 69-yard game (8.6 yards per attempt) with one touchdown, while also adding two receptions for 25 yards . Dannis Jackson recorded five catches for 94 yards (on 10 targets).
