Porter Moser and the Oklahoma Sooners made a late addition to the roster a few months before beginning SEC play for the first time. Jeremiah Fears, a former Illinois commit in the 2025 class, announced on Saturday he is committing to Oklahoma and will reclassify to 2024 and join the club in Norman this fall.
“I love their staff and strength coach,” Fears told ESPN. “They have NBA experience. Coach [Porter] Moser is a big development guy, a very successful coach, a great person and family man…There is a great opportunity for me at OU and I know the SEC will be tough. I am ready to work and get on campus.”
Fears was ranked No. 37 in the 2025 recruiting class at 247Sports prior to reclassifying, and he becomes the third incoming freshman to join Moser’s squad – and by far the highest ranked.
Moser also landed five players via the transfer portal in what ended up being a significant roster overhaul after the program failed to make the NCAA Tournament last year – despite a 13-1 start with huge wins over Iowa, Arkansas, Providence, and Iowa State.
Below is a look at each of Oklahoma’s eight newcomers in what should be an exciting, and pressure-filled, first season for Moser and the Sooners in the SEC:
