Star wide receiver Mac Dalena and the Fresno State Bulldogs (1-1) face the New Mexico State Aggies (1-1) on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET, at Valley Children’s Stadium.
In their last game, the Bulldogs won 46-30 over the Sacramento State Hornets. The Aggies’ last game was a 30-24 loss to the Liberty Flames. Against the Hornets, Mikey Keene led the Bulldogs with 358 yards on 24-of-35 passing (68.6%) for two touchdowns and two interceptions. Malik Sherrod totaled 54 rushing yards on 22 carries (2.5 yards per carry), scoring two touchdowns on the ground. He also had three catches for 19 yards. Dalena totaled seven receptions for 235 yards (averaging 33.6 per catch), while scoring one touchdown against the Hornets. Parker Awad’s showing for the Aggies against the Flames included 9-of-22 passing for 158 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He rushed 10 times for -20 yards and one touchdown. In that matchup, Seth McGowan had a 15-carry, 76-yard game (5.1 yards per attempt). He tacked on three receptions for 25 yards and one touchdown. Ahmonte Watkins caught one pass for 64 yards (64.0 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.
