One of the top rushers in college football will be featured when Devon Dampier and the New Mexico Lobos (0-4) take on the New Mexico State Aggies (1-3) on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
The Lobos head into the matchup after losing 38-21 to the Fresno State Bulldogs in their last outing on Sept. 21. The Aggies are coming off of a loss to the Sam Houston Bearkats by the score of 31-11. In that matchup with the Bulldogs, Dampier had 338 yards on 33-of-53 passing (62.3%) for the Lobos, with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also carried the ball nine times for 67 yards. Javen Jacobs carried the ball seven times for 41 yards (5.9 yards per carry) with one touchdown on the ground. He added six receptions for 17 yards. Luke Wysong hauled in 10 receptions for 126 yards (averaging 12.6 per catch) against the Bulldogs. Santino Marucci went 14-for-29 with 74 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the Aggies against the Bearkats. He also rushed 10 times for 32 yards. Seth McGowan carried the ball 12 times for 50 yards (4.2 yards per attempt). In the passing game, he added one catch for seven yards. TJ Pride collected five catches for 33 yards (on six targets).
