The Flames enter this matchup after a 30-24 win over the New Mexico State Aggies in their most recent outing. The Miners’ last game finished in a 27-24 loss to the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. Kaidon Salter threw for 256 yards, with no touchdowns and no interceptions on 16-of-29 passing (55.2%) for the Flames in that matchup against the Aggies. He also added 10 carries for 23 yards. Quinton Cooley totaled 111 rushing yards on 12 carries (9.3 yards per carry), scoring two touchdowns on the ground. Treon Sibley recorded five receptions for 155 yards (averaging 31.0 per catch) against the Aggies. Skyler Locklear’s showing for the Miners against the Thunderbirds included 22-of-29 passing for 295 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He rushed 15 times for 47 yards and one touchdown. Jevon Jackson put together a 20-carry, 80-yard game (4.0 yards per attempt), while also adding four receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown. Kam Thomas caught five passes for 99 yards (19.8 yards per catch).
