Star runner Ja’Quinden Jackson and the Arkansas Razorbacks (1-1) face the UAB Blazers (1-1) on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. ET at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The Razorbacks head into the matchup after losing 39-31 to the Oklahoma State Cowboys in their last outing on Sept. 7. The Blazers are coming off of a 32-6 loss to the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. Taylen Green threw for 416 yards, with one touchdown and one interception on 26-of-45 passing (57.8%) for the Hogs in that matchup against the Cowboys. He also added 18 carries for 61 yards. Jackson totaled 149 rushing yards on 24 carries (6.2 yards per carry), scoring three touchdowns on the ground. He also had one catch for 13 yards. Andrew Armstrong recorded 10 receptions for 164 yards (averaging 16.4 per catch) against the Cowboys. Jacob Zeno recorded 167 passing yards while going 22-for-32 with no touchdowns and one interception for the Blazers against the Warhawks. Lee Beebe put together a 14-carry, 62-yard game (4.4 yards per attempt), while tacking on five receptions for 36 yards . Kameran Shanks collected four catches for 43 yards (on five targets).
