The college football season will be concluding its first official month when Week 4 commences this weekend. The football landscape has changed plenty, but we’re here to talk Big Ten football.

Two of the top five teams in the Big Ten are from expansion, while the fight for a spot in the top ten is a logjam thanks to the drop in play from the Michigan Wolverines, and the rise of mid-level programs across the midwest.

We also say “good season” to a few squads thanks to poor play and injury. Yes, it’s that time for a few squads. Don’t worry, Washington Huskies fans, you’re not one of the those teams.

This is the last week in which a chunk of teams play non-conference opponents. After that, the rankings are going to be a never-ending question of, “How the heck did X team get that spot?”

Let’s wrap up Week 3 and start Week 4 with Big Ten power rankings that are sure to make everyone happy.
